Why the name FreshTech?
The word “fresh” is in reference to the fact this district sits on the fourth-largest body of fresh water on Earth. “Tech” is a reference to the district’s potential as a world-class R&D center.
What other Innovation Districts are out there?
Innovation Districts are popping up all over the country. SCEDC and City of Sheboygan staff visited St. Louis, Chattanooga and Indianapolis to gain insights on building a district in the Sheboygan MSA.
